It is worth mentioning that “Show Us Your Talent II” is a talent showcase program that is dedicated to boosting youth’s creativity, building their self-esteem, enhance their mental wellbeing. It also aims to give youth the chance to showcase their talents in a welcoming and positive environment, connect with new people, challenge themselves, and think out of the box.

A big number of countries from across the globe participated in the program and the number of participants exceeded 140 in less than one week. After closing the registration link, the organizing committee selected the twenty outstanding performances among the big number of participants and announced their names during a live ceremony. The ceremony marked a great success where the audience had a chance to enjoy the wonderful shows. At the end of the ceremony, all participants were awarded an e- certificate of participation for their active contribution.

In this context, Ms Maha Shhadeh, IIU Lebanon country director and project director stated that teaching is more than imparting knowledge, it’s inspiring change. It is the change we all yearn for – that’s how we matter. She stressed the importance of such programs to boost youth’s creativity and imagination and enhance their well-being, especially after the pandemic and its severe drastic impacts. She also highlighted the crucial role of International Internship University-IIU to engage youths all over the globe to learn, share and grow.

Shhadeh highlighted the huge efforts of the IIU team and the students’ organizing team: Muhammad Hussein, Zainab Arzouni, Zainab Mazeh, Ruba Derbas and Rana Ezzedine whom she considered the major factor behind the program’s success. She recalled  Rita Pierson’s famous quote, “Every child deserves a champion an adult who will never give up on them. Who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can be.” and advised fellow educators to be this champion.
